INTERNATIONAL SEA FREIGHT
Sea freight services from Australia are available from, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, Hobart, Perth, Newcastle, The Gold Coast, Mackay, Townsville ,Cairns and Darwin. There are all types of sea freight services available to meet the demands of a wide range of products. Most common sea freight method or service is shipping containers, which are available for shipping in 2 sizes, 20ft and 40ft, thousands of containers are moved everyday from and to Australia. Sea freight shipping containers also come with open top and high cube options, open top international shipping containers are used when it is easier to load the cargo via the top of the container, open tops are normally loaded with a crane, another reason for using an open top container may be because the cargo is OOG (Out Of Gauge). OOG cargo protrudes above or beyond the size of the container (in the case of open tops the cargo would protrude above the top of the container, so it would be considered OOG cargo. Flat Racks are another popular option for cargo that will not fit into containers. Below please see dimensions etc of sea freight equipment available
